Sealants
Large grooves and pits in the adult molars can be particularly susceptible to cavities. To help prevent and protect these grooves and pits from developing into cavities, your dentist may recommend sealing the grooves of adult molars. The sealants are a clear protective coating that lasts for several years. The application of sealants is painless and does not require any local anesthetic or freezing.
